Timo Demollin - Stromingen
April, 25 2025 - May, 17 2025

Visual artist Timo Demollin (1988) shows two new works in Stromingen: Stromingen, an installation with watercolor paintings and Lobby, a hanging sculpture made from recycled insulation material.

The exhibition Stromingen formed a bridge between nature, art and industry, using Zeeland light as a source of inspiration. The unique clarity of colors in Zeeland has attracted artists to the region for centuries. Museum Domburg contributed to the exhibition with the painting 'Duinlandschap' by Maurice Góth.

From the breeding ground Nesse, Demollin brought art and residents together through watercolor workshops. These took place at industrial locations together with students, members of the women's association Vrouwen van Nu and local artists. The results were incorporated into the exhibition. Also on display: a floating sculpture made from recycled insulation material in combination with the building principles of the city hall's architect, Jaap Bakema.

Artist talk, Friday May 17, 2025
During the closing event on Saturday May 17, artist Timo Demollin will explains about the themes of 'Stromingen'. Other speakers include: Digna Sinke, filmmaker, who will talk about her ideas about Zeeland light and Adriënne van der Werf, artistic coordinator of the new breeding ground Nesse.
